Reimagining Joy: Rebuilding the Quad Playground
February 14, 2024
In the heart of our beloved Beersheba Springs Assembly lies a space that has long been cherished—a playground within the quad where laughter once echoed and memories were made. However, the passage of time and the elements have taken their toll, leaving our playground in need of rejuvenation.
The Assembly is excited to announce the receipt of a generous matching grant for $17,500 through the United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministries Association to help us reimagine the joy of our quad playground. The UMCRM Association is committed to the mission of the church (making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world), the UMCRM Association resources, advocates, inspires, and networks to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministries.
As we stand on the brink of rebuilding our playground, we envision a space that transcends its physical dimensions – a place where joy, laughter, and boundless possibilities abound. Our playground will include a tree deck with a slide, climbing wall, and rope ladder for older children, a playscape designed for toddlers and younger children, and a multipurpose court for both pickleball and basketball for all ages.
In addition to the generous grant we have received, we are excited to announce a fundraising initiative to match the grant of $17,500, amplifying the impact of our efforts. This matching gran presents a unique opportunity for our community to come together and double the resources available for the construction of the playground. We aim to harness the collective generosity and enthusiasm of our friends of Beersheba. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal and reinforces the spirit of unity and collaboration that defines our community. Together, let us seize this opportunity to make an even greater difference and ensure that our playground becomes a reality for all to enjoy.
